Amethyst Amelia Kelly, professionally known as Iggy Azalea, was born on June 7, 1990, and was born in Sydney and grew up in Mullumbimby, Australia. Azalea moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a career in music. She began rapping at age 14, and is an Australian former rapper and songwriter. She earned public recognition after releasing the music videos for her songs "Pussy" and "Two Times" on YouTube, shortly after releasing those two songs, she released her debut mixtape, Ignorant Art (2011). Her stage name was created from the name of her childhood dog, Iggy, and the street she grew up on, Azalea Street.
